Impact Sciences recently prepared an Addendum to an EIR for California State University Northridge (CSU Northridge). The project included evaluation of new student housing to be located on the CSU Northridge campus. The CSU Northridge 2005 Master Plan and associated EIR (prepared by Impact Sciences) is a comprehensive, coordinated series of proposals intended to configure and guide the physical development of the CSU Northridge campus over the next 30 years. CSU Northridge is proposing to implement a portion of the Master Plan by developing Phase II of the student housing. The Master Plan identifies three sites for new housing with a total of 2,500 new beds over the 30-year planning horizon. Phase I opened in fall 2009 and included 400 beds, this second phase will feature an additional 400 beds and will complete the planned build out on the first of the three sites identified in the Master Plan.
