Pasadena’s City Council certified the Final EIR for the Re-Use of the Desiderio Army Reserve Center Project on Monday October 27, 2014. Impact Sciences published the Draft EIR in April of this year and completed the Final EIR this past summer. The project includes the reuse of the 5.1-acre Desiderio US Army Reserve Center into a 3.87-acre neighborhood park and nine single-family detached bungalow homes to be constructed by Habitat for Humanity. Impact Sciences examined key environmental issues such as cultural resources (specifically historic resources), traffic, and hazards.
