Impact Sciences is pleased to announce that on December 15, 2015 the Santa Clara City Council certified the Santa Clara Santa Clara Square – Residential/Mixed Use Project EIR. In March 2015 Impact Sciences was selected by the City to prepare an EIR for the project, which is located on a 33.4-acre infill site in the heart of Silicon Valley, in the City of Santa Clara on Scott Boulevard, between Bowers Avenue and San Tomas Aquino Creek. The project would demolish existing business park buildings on the site and construct a mixed-use residential development project that would consist of 1,800 apartment units, approximately 40,000 gross square feet of retail space, and 28,000 gross square feet of amenity space. The project is the third component of a 100-acre Santa Clara Square project, a sustainable community that comprises office, retail and residential units and provides an opportunity to live, work and play in one area, while minimizing use of automobiles. The project will provide much needed housing, including affordable housing, and will assist the City in improving its current jobs housing imbalance.
