Jessica Kirchner Flores, AICP, President, is Managing Principal for the Southern California offices. Stepping into a new role as President, Jessica works closely with the Principals of the firm to achieve the vision of its founders to “be better.” Her corporate responsibilities include contract compliance and financial management with an eye toward strategic growth. Jessica has more than a decade of project work in CEQA/NEPA compliance and places an emphasis on meeting client needs and providing real-world solutions to common CEQA pitfalls. As a team leader, she provides project oversight, workload coordination, personnel management, and training.
Shabnam Barati, Ph.D., is Managing Principal for the Northern California-Oakland office. Dr. Shabnam Barati has extensive CEQA experience and has managed numerous complex and high-profile CEQA projects for a wide variety of municipal, agency, university, and private clients over the last 20 years. She is well known by our clients and throughout the environmental industry for the depth of her CEQA knowledge and her dedication to producing thorough, well scoped documents that stand up to legal review and challenge. Her clients appreciate her skill in strategically evaluating each individual project’s needs, enabling her teams to provide CEQA documents that achieve adequacy without overreaching.
David Crawford is Managing Principal of Biological Services. Mr. Crawford has over 18 years of experience in biology, environmental planning, and project management and is the Managing Principal of Biological Services for Impact Sciences in the Southern California office. His responsibilities include preparation of biological resource sections for environmental documents, project scheduling, budget supervision and control, subconsultant coordination and client communication. He has directed, managed, and prepared biological resource sections for environmental impact reports, mitigation monitoring plans, plant and wildlife studies, biological resource assessments, focused sensitive species surveys, biological constraints analyses, construction monitoring, and habitat restoration plans for private and public sector clients throughout Southern California.
Eric Sakowicz, Founding Principal, established Impact Sciences with Tom Worthington in 1988. All these years later, even with as much as has been accomplished, more continues to be done. Eric provides the overall vision for Impact Sciences and is involved in senior project direction, development of the mentorship and future leaders program for emerging staff and training and management programs for senior staff.
